Men’s Mental Health

This week (9th–15th June) marks Men’s Mental Health Week – an important opportunity to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and promote open conversations around men’s mental wellbeing.

While everyone’s mental health matters, this week serves as a reminder that men can often find it harder to seek help or speak openly when they’re struggling. A supportive culture can make a huge difference—and small actions such as checking in with someone or simply starting a conversation can go a long way.

It is imperative that we are all mindful of our mental health. During this week, please ensure that you healthily encourage positive, judgement-free conversations with men in your family and friend networks about mental health.

Below are some recommended sources of support you might find useful:

  • CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) – focused on suicide prevention, especially among men:
  • Mates in Mind – promoting positive mental health in the workplace:Â
